Henry Carroll

January 26, 1935 — February 22, 2019

Mr. Henry Carroll passed away Friday morning February 22, 2019 in Camden. He was born January 26, 1935 to the late Cleveland and Allien Carroll.

Mr. Carroll was the owner and operator of Carroll’s Meat Market and worked in the timber business for many years. Mr. Carroll was a lifetime member of the White Oak Hunting Club, enjoyed growing flowers, and raising a garden each year. He served as a Justice of the Peace for Ouachita County for a number of years and was Mess Hall Sergeant in the National Guard. He was a graduate of Fairview High School and attended college in Monticello. He was a member of the Maul Road Church of Christ.

Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his loving wife, Kay, Carroll, and three brothers, L.J., Grady, and Jack Carroll.

He is survived by: his three daughters and sons-in-law, Tami and Shane Reddin, Constance and Charles Barnes of Camden, and Lynn and Michael Bearden of Longview, Texas.  Seven grandchildren, Shanna Reddin Abbott, Nic Reddin, Jennifer Bearden Young, Lara Bearden Holloway, Daylon, Alex, and Caleb Bearden, five great-grandchildren, and his two sisters, Evelyn Bright of Hope, Arkansas and Virginia Tony of Canyon Lake, Texas.

Celebration of life service for Mr. Henry Carroll, 84, of Camden will be 2:30 p.m., Monday, February 25, 2019 at Maul Road Church of Christ. Brother Johnny Hobbie and Russ Comeaux will be officiating. Family visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at Maul Road Church of Christ.

The family would like to acknowledge our dear and devoted friend, Connie Lester, for all the care given to our dad in his last years.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maul Road Church of Christ Food Pantry.
