James Leopard II

James William Leopard II, 65, of Jefferson, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019. He was born January 14, 1954 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to James William Leopard and Johnnie Maroney Leopard. James had a love for music. He played the bass guitar in a local band, Euphoric Recall, for nearly thirty years. He was an avid outdoors-man. Hunting and fishing were a very big part of his life. Whether enjoying the outdoors by himself or taking his son and grandson's along, he could always be found in nature. James also enjoyed spending time with his family. He loved going to baseball games on the weekends to cheer on his grandson's. Before retiring, he worked at Hoover Treated Wood. James was of Baptist faith.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James William Leopard and Johnnie Maroney Leopard; his brother Robert Harrison Leopard.
Survivors include a daughter Jamie Leopard Castaneda (Christian) of Jefferson: a son, James William Leopard III of Redfield; three grandson's Carson Castaneda, Cason Castaneda, Hunter Castaneda; a granddaughter, Gracie Castaneda; a sister, Linda Gleason (Ron) of Lafayette, LA; two nephews, Ronnie Gleason  of Lafayette, LA, and Chris Gleason of Lafayette, LA.
A memorial service will be held Monday, October 7 at 6 p.m. The service will be held at Family Church of Redfield.
