Alma L. (Fiscus) Smith, age 87, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025 in Beebe, Arkansas. Born on August 1, 1937, to Charles W. Fiscus and Nellie A. Fiscus, Alma lived a life marked by deep faith, selfless service, and unconditional love for her family and community.
She is survived by her two daughters, Patricia J. Mills and Dora J. Abner, who carry on her legacy of strength and compassion. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nellie; her daughter, Nelthea J. Eads; her sons, Charles W. Turner and Lloyd M. Turner; and nine siblings: Kenneth, Charles, Velma, Kieth, Jessie, Walter, Merle, Thelma, and Zelma.
Alma’s family tree is a testament to her enduring love, as she leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Alma lived out her faith through action as a devoted member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Warsaw, MO for nearly 40 years. She volunteered tirelessly with Quilts for Christ, Toys for Tots, and spent 15 years bringing comfort and kindness to the residents of the Veterans Home in Warrensburg, MO.
Alma will be remembered for her steadfast faith, warm heart, and generous spirit. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her love will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
A celebration of Alma’s life will be held in Warsaw, MO, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church on Friday, June 20, 2025, 2:00 pm.
