Amy Kristen (Edelmann) Atterberry

Amy Kristen Atterberry—a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and niece—went to be with the Lord and her loved ones in Heaven on July 19, 2026. 

Born on September 11, 1971, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Chris Edelmann and Nancy Bacon, Amy lived a life defined by love and devotion. Amy graduated from the University of Central Arkansas and worked in accounting at Sanders Supply in Hot Springs. She loved God, her family, her friends, and her pets, proudly calling herself a "crazy cat lady." Fiercely loyal, she loved to travel and vacation. As her husband and best friend shared, "she was a beautiful soul" and "just an overall relaxed and chill person." 

She was welcomed into Heaven by her mother, Nancy Bacon McNew; her daughter, Ashlan Atterberry; her sister, Marissa Edelmann; and her grandparents, Harry "Honey" and Thelma "Mimi" Bacon, and Edwin "Grandpa" Edelmann. Her family takes great comfort in knowing they will see her again in Heaven. 

She leaves behind a legacy of love and is survived by her husband, Ben Atterberry; her sons, Connor Morris (and wife Tori) and Jordan Atterberry; her father and stepmother, Chris and Mary Edelmann; her grandmother, Marguerite "Grandma" Edelmann; her brothers, Matt and Stephen Edelmann; and her stepsisters, Andrea Westbrook, Loreann Yeager, and Haley Hudson. She also leaves behind her lifelong friends, Vicky Sanders Morris and Alyssa Cash Foster, as well as a host of beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of her deep love for animals, Amy would want donations to be made to the Humane Society of Garland County. 

A celebration of life service will be held Monday July 27th at 6:30 in Tent Builders Church Benton at 1214 Liberty Street, Benton Arkansas.
