Arnold Gene Brown

Arnold “Twig” Gene Brown passed away peacefully August 26. 2025 at the age of 70.

He was born on January 10, 1955 in Mena, AR and raised by his parents James Brown and Betty McMellon Brown. Twig travelled to multiple states with his parents and five younger siblings for his father’s construction career. He settled down in Benton after high school and started his own family.

Twig was known to all as being the life of any party, always joking and smiling. From a young age he loved music, watching his father sing and play the guitar, and then his younger brothers doing the same. He also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, getting together with friends and family to play music, or just laying on a creek bank with people he loved.

Twig is survived by his children; Luke and Angie Brown, Joey and Kim Brown, Stephanie Brown Wallace, Amy and Drew Ledbetter, Jesse and Lena Brown. 7 grandchildren, siblings Mark and Betty Jo Brown, Mike and Julie Brown, and Brenda Brown Vo; and a yard full of beloved nieces and nephews.

Proceeded in death by his parents and brothers, James “Butch” Brown Jr. and Rick Brown.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday September 20, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Jackie Ryan’s pavilion on Big Fork Creek off of Post Oak Lane.
