Bobby Hix

Bobby “Papa” Hix, passed away on August 13, 2026. Surrounded by family, with his hands held firmly. Bobby lived a life filled with love, with courage, and with an unparalleled passion for his family. Though he is gone, he is loved more than he could ever have known.

Bobby found joy in the simple things of life – he loved nature, animals, and procedural dramas. If he wasn’t “resting his eyes” to the T.V. you could find him in the garden, playing with his animals. Throughout his life he had many dogs, all of which he loved enormously. He could never say no to a Yorkie, but just as well, he couldn’t turn down a nicotine addicted Chihuahua, or a Pitbull that didn’t realize it was bigger than him.

Papa was a good man; a father, a friend, a brother, and grandfather. Over the course of his life, through hundreds of “happy accidents”, Bobby had become a family man; his loving nature had long compelled him to open his arms, eternally receptive to those with the good fortune of crossing his path. He wasn’t picky when choosing to love, he was happy to show kindness, and offer a helping hand. Bobby is not just “survived” by countless loved ones; his impact and love, lives within each of his siblings, within his daughter, within his grandchildren. It is in this way that Papa will live on; every life touched will touch another. There could never be enough words to describe the man that he was, but there is one that certainly comes close: “Papa”.
