C. Earl Milroy, Jr.

C. Earl Milroy, Jr. (80) passed away Sunday September 27, 2026. He was the son of late Clarence and Opal Milroy of Stuttgart, AR. He was born October 21, 1945. 

Earl attended many schools: DeWitt, Stuttgart, and graduated from Wabbaseka in 1964. He married Gwendolyn “Lynn” Stuart September 3, 1966. 

Earl worked on the family farm even after he gained employment with the Cotton Belt Railroad. He remained an employee as the railroad became the Southern Pacific and later the Union Pacific Railroad. Known to fellow employees as "Earl the Pearl,” he was an engineer for 39 years. 

Earl was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Faith Community Church and Grapevine Hunting Club. He enjoyed camping, square dancing, and spending time with his family. 

Family was very important to Earl. He loved his sister, Sue and considered her husband, Calvin Dardenne, his best friend and brother. Earl also thought of his wife’s siblings as his own brothers and sisters: Hunter and Lee Ann Stuart, Mike and LuAnn Brent. 

Earl had a joyful heart and a smile for everyone. Earl is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gwendolyn “Lynn” Stuart Milroy, one son Britt (Mary) Milroy, one daughter Robyn (Shawn) Ward, six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. 

The family would like to extend thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of: Affinity Hospice, Baptist Hospital, JRMC (Hospital, Specialty Hospital, and Home Health), St. Thomas Hospital-Nashville, TN The Celebration of Life will be held 10/09/2026 at 4:00 pm in the Faith Community Church, Pine Bluff, AR.
