Catherine Lee (Clark) Crane

July 21, 1961 — March 17, 2026

Little Rock, Arkansas

Catherine Lee Clark Crane passed away on March 17, 2026 at the age of 64. She was born in St. Paul, MN on July 21, 1961 and was the daughter of Donald M. Clark and the late Patricia Wegman Clark.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen A. Crane. Cathie met the love of her life in 2009 and they entered into covenant marriage on June 1, 2013. The gift of this marriage of honor and love was one of the great joys of her life.

She also is survived by her much loved parents, Donald and Dorrie Clark of Stillwater, MN and her cherished children and stepchildren, Leah Allen (Blue) of Little Rock, AR, Peter Billings (Alyx) of Portland, OR, Jillian Sharp (Tara) of Northfield, MN, Tyler Crane (Amanda) of Fayetteville, AR, Katie Berkeland (Andy) of Westminster, CO and Asley Wessel (Kyle) of Denver, CO. Cathie also leaves behind her adored grandchildren, James and Thomas Allen and Alice, Peter, Penelope and Samuel Crane. Cathie’s siblings remain to hold her memory and her life was enriched beyond measure by her sisters, Kimberly Clark (Brad Jahnke) and Carolyn Clark, and her brothers Edward Clark (Mary) and Jason Clark (Denise), all of MN. Cathie is survived also by an Aunt, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews and many dear friends.

Her early life was spent in MN and she was a proud 1979 graduate of Stewartville High School and in 1983, she graduated from Rochester Community College with a degree in Nursing and began what would become a 42 year career. Her first nursing position was at Mayo St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN in 1983. She finished her career at the Jack Stephen’s Heart Institute Cardiac Cath lab where she greatly valued the privilege of working with such a fine team. She regretfully left her position in January 2025 when her health made it impossible to work. Nursing was one of the great passions of Cathie’s life and she always said it was much more of a mission than a job to her. Life brought Cathie to Little Rock, AR in 1990, and she had lived in AR ever since then except for one brief return to MN in 1995-1996 (when the worst winter weather in 100 years of recorded history happened which increased her appreciation of the South!).

Cathie’s faith and relationship with Jesus Christ was the cornerstone of her life and she was quick to share this joy and peace with others. She was a member of her much loved Parkway Place Church and was grateful to all who serve there. She asks you to rejoice that she is home in Heaven with her Savior.

The simple things in life were the best treasures to Cathie, especially going on long walks outside which she loved to do with friends, family, by herself and in all weathers. She joked that it was the only “sport” she was good at and she shared with many that she discovered that walking is one of the keys to health and happiness. She treasured time with family, reading, listening to music, spending time in Christian study and devotion and going on travel adventures.

A Memorial service to celebrate Cathie’s life will be held at Parkway Place Church, 300 Parkway Pl Dr, Little Rock, AR 72211.

Her warmth, kindness, unwavering love and peace will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Memorial contributions may be made to Parkway Place Church Missions fund.
