Morrilton, Arkansas

Catherine Bertha Rees, known lovingly as Cathy, age 71, passed peacefully at home on December 3, 2025. She was born on November 29, 1954, in South Bend, Indiana, and moved to Austin, Arkansas, as a child. Cathy lived a life marked by strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie Clayton Rees and Hazel Bertha Brown, and her brothers, Roy Clayton Rees and Randy Russell Rees.

Cathy is survived by her beloved children: Tajuania Hazel Sims and spouse; Clayburne Ashby Jackson Jr; Charlie Martin Jackson; and Ashley Destini Nolley and spouse. She cherished her role as a mother, and her children were the center of her world.

She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Brandon Russell Oliver, Dylan Drake Jackson, Alexis Nicole Oliver, Chealsie Dawn Jackson, and Blake Anthony Nolley II. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart.

Cathy will be remembered for her resilience and the quiet strength with which she faced life’s challenges. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and perseverance—one that will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, and all who were blessed to know her.

Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will be treasured always.

“Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.”
