Charles Thomas Edwards, 81, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, passed away peacefully August 25th after battling cancer. He was born May 14, 1944, in Camden, Arkansas, to Paul and Francis Edwards.
Charles was a devoted husband, father, and friend to many. He was married to the love of his life, Barbara Edwards for 55 years. Together they raised their son, Jeff Edwards of Memphis.
An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Charles found joy in nature and in the fellowship of his hunting companions. He especially treasured his time at the Boiling Pot Hunting Camp, where countless stories and memories were made around campfires and in the woods.
Charles will be remembered for his love of family, gentle patience, kind spirit, and his deep appreciation for the outdoors. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, his son Jeff, beloved labradoodle Lexi, sister-in-law Debbie Hudsonpillar Sanders, sister Sara (Edwards) Yarbrough, Nephew David Yarbrough (Jackie), two great nephews Jared Yarbrough and Will Bunten, and many dear friends and relatives.
A private Graveside service will be held on October 4th followed by a celebration of Life for family and friends in Camden, AR. Details will be forthcoming and shared on social media.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the medical team at CHI St. Vincent's Hot Springs for their loving care.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Ouachita County Historical Society, Garland County Humane Society, or the charity of choice.
