Christopher Manuel Adame

January 23, 1977 — May 9, 2025

Maumelle, Arkansas

Christopher Manuel Adame, known as Chris to family and friends, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born on January 23, 1977, in Aurora, Colorado, Chris was the son of Victor Manuel Adame and Rose Anne Eaton Adame Jones. Chris was kind, caring, and compassionate with quick wit and a creative mind.

In his early years Chris enjoyed swimming, tennis, baseball, tae-kwon-do (where he earned a brown belt), and soccer, eventually focusing his energy exclusively on soccer. Chris played for soccer clubs, the YMCA, Southwest Soccer Association, and the Columbine Soccer Association throughout his youth and teenage years. He played forward and wing and was particularly skilled in ball handling. A proud graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Denver, Colorado, class of 1995, Chris continued his education for two years at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado, then returned to Denver to begin his next chapter.

Chris had a personal experience with Jesus Christ in Denver and became a Christian at the age of 20. He was an active member of Landmark Tabernacle for 20 years and served as Sunday school teacher, youth leader, small group facilitator, caretaker, choir member, and cast member of Messiah, the church’s Easter production, in which he played Joseph. After moving to Arkansas, Chris and his wife found a new church home at Calvary Apostolic Church in North Little Rock.

In January 2007, Chris was introduced to his future wife, Heather, by a mutual friend, and after dating for two years, they married in May 2009, and started their life together in Lakewood, Colorado. In 2018, they moved to Louisville, Kentucky, for work. Then moved again in 2019, first to Lexington, Kentucky, then to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Finally in May 2020, they moved to Maumelle, Arkansas, where they bought a home and settled down to plant roots.

Chris started his career in construction, then moved into sales working for Cutco and Intuit. In 2013 he obtained his CDL and worked as a professional driver for Mile Hi Foods, Frito-Lay, and Pepsi-Co, working his way up to Senior Lead Delivery Supervisor at Pepsi-Co. In 2024 he made the decision to transition from an over-the-road driver to the role of Logistics Coordinator at King of Freight to spend more time at home with family.

Chris enjoyed helping others. If a friend was in need, he would drop what he was doing to lend a helping hand. His heart remained tender towards those less fortunate, and he always stopped to give a few dollars and speak encouraging words to the homeless.

Anytime Chris was around animals they gathered around him, somehow knowing he was safe and kind. In 2014, Chris and Heather adopted their sweet dog, Sully. Heather tried desperately to be Sully’s number one, to be his person, but Sully was devoted to Chris and wouldn’t even look at Heather if Chris was in the room, much to Heather’s chagrin.

Chris is deeply loved and his memory will be championed by his loved ones. He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Heather Buller Adame of Maumelle, Arkansas; his father Victor Adame (Shelbey) of Lakewood, Colorado, and his mother Rose Anne Jones of Kapaa, Hawaii. He is also survived by his sister Kate Kewley of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his brother Adam Adame of Aurora, Colorado; his brother Matt Adame (Angela) of Denver, Colorado; his mother-in-law Debra Buller of Maumelle, Arkansas; his brother-in-law Heath Buller (Jennifer) of Scroggins, Texas: and his nieces and nephews Sean (Sarah) Kewley, Tim Kewley, Lizzie Kewley, Anna Kewley, Ethan Adame, Lacy Adame, Taelyn Hurley, Quinn Marechaux, Levi Buller, Laiken Buller, and Harper Buller, plus one great nephew, Seamus Kewley. He has many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins who live in Boston, North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, and Mexico. Chris had a close relationship with his aunt Betty Jones Keller of Arizona.

Chris was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robb Jones, and his father-in-law, Rev. Lawrence Buller.

A memorial service to celebrate Chris’ life will be held on Friday, June 6th at 11:00 am at Landmark Tabernacle, 2727 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, Colorado 80227.
