David Charles Palmquist, 71, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on April 23, 2025, after a brief illness.
Born on June 24,1953, in Watertown, SD, David earned a M.S. In music ed from NSU and an electrical engineering degree from the SD School of Mines. His career as an aviation engineer took him to many parts of the US and Japan. He was a talented musician (cello, keyboards, guitar and various other instruments) whose avocation was music, especially rock. He played in many bands from high school until recently and was an avid gardener. His sharp, dry, witty observations were legendary.
He will be missed greatly by sisters, Ann (Gene) Burrish, Jane (Kathy Hamilton) Palmquist, nephews Sam and Tom Burrish, special friend Marjorie Lacy, and many relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Alice Palmquist, and brother Richard Palmquist.
The family will hold a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, World Central Kitchen, or your local animal shelter.
