Dewey Norris Yarbrough

Dewey Norris Yarbrough, was born March 12, 1940 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He passed away December 18,2025 at the age of 85 surrounded by the love of his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Frances Charlene Yarbrough; his daughters, Rhonda C. McMurry and Dana M. Johns; his sons-in-law, Mark McMurryand Richard Johns; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Norris was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Known for his gentleness, sweet nature, and quiet spirit, he was deeply loved by all who knew him. He listened far more than he spoke, but when he did speak, his words were often witty, insightful, and meaningful.

A man of deep and abiding faith, Norris read the Bible through each year for as long as he was able. His faith was not only something he read, but something he lived—through humility, kindness, church service and a steady devotion to God and family.

He found joy in fishing, reading about everything that interested him, woodworking, and projects with Charlene. Though we will miss him dearly, we rejoice in knowing that he is now with his Lord and Savior.
