Doris Langley Freer

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Doris Langley Freer, who left this world peacefully on April 27, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on August 28, 1941, Doris lived a life defined by grace, kindness, and an unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth touched everyone who knew her. Doris had a remarkable gift for making people laugh, feel welcome and valued.

Throughout her life, Doris exemplified resilience and generosity. Her passions included spending time with family and friends, reading, community service and she approached each with her characteristic care and attention. She was a woman of outgoing personality, whose love and support helped shape the lives of those around her in immeasurable ways.

Doris is survived by her son Jack (wife Shelley), grandchildren Anne, Kate and Jackson, sister Peggy Pierce (husband Larry), and many cherished relatives and friends, all of whom will carry forward her legacy of compassion and integrity.

A private family service will be held to honor her life. Her presence will be profoundly missed, but the light of her love will continue to shine through all who were fortunate to know her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the American Stroke Association or charity of your choosing in Doris’s memory.
