Dorothy Sprigg Hobbs, 91, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012. Born January 3, 1921 in Little Rock, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Ignatius and Florence Sprigg. She was married to Gordon R. Hobbs for 48 years until his death in 1990. During her life, Dorothy enjoyed traveling, volunteering, and was an avid gardener. She was named a Lifetime Master Gardner and brought beauty to many local parks, as well as, historical sites around central Arkansas. She is survived by one son, Bill Hobbs, his wife Grace; a grandson, Richard Hobbs, all of North Little Rock; two nieces, Lynne Pendzik of Maui, Hawaii and Adrian Sprigg-McManus and spouse Roy of Perth, Australia; two grand nieces, Whitney Marshall and spouse Matt, and Sarah Elliott and son Jackson, all of North Little Rock. Graveside services will be held 10AM Monday, Feb 6th at Oakland Fraternal Cemetery in Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or to the Pulaski County Master Gardeners.
