Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Rynders, 55, of Hot Springs, AR, passed away at home on November 9, 2025.
Liz was born in Farrell, Pennsylvania to William “Bill” and Karen “Sue” Gilmore in 1969. She had one older brother, William Jr. “Billy” Gilmore. The family moved to Arkansas when Liz was a young child, and she lived here the remainder of her life. She attended Fountain Lake School, where she enjoyed playing basketball and also met her high school sweet heart, Clayton Rynders. They married in 1987 and later had two children, Lindsey and Clayton, aka “Bub.”
People that knew Liz always commented on how sweet she was and that she was always fun to be around. She was often found laughing and loved to joke around. She was creative, resourceful, and very handy. She always tried to fix things, rather than throw them out. She loved making her home, as she had an eye for interior design, as well as gardening, both with flowers and house plants, and vegetables and fruit. She loved to being outside and spending time with her grandbabies.
Liz is preceded in death by her father, Bill, her brother, Billy, and her husband of 25 years, Clayton. She is survived by her mother, Sue; stepfather, Steve; mother-in-law, Dorthy; her children, Lindsey and Devin O’Brien, and Clayton ; as well as her grandchildren, Damon, Toby, and Lily.
A memorial of Liz’s life will be held at Living Word Worship Center (2341 Park Ave, Hot Springs) at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 29, 2025.
