Elizabeth Ann King

Elizabeth Ann Higgins-King, 71 of Monticello, AR. was born September 24, 1952 in Los Angeles, California. The daughter of the late James  and Retta Kellum-Higgins. Elizabeth or Liz as she was most often referred to was preceded in death by her sister Brenda Young. She is survived by two brothers Steven and Jimmy Higgins both of Monticello as well as her daughter, Andrea of Dumas.

Elizabeth was a free spirit with a nomadic soul as confirmed by her chosen professions ranging from bookkeeper to insurance agent and even nursing. Liz was passionate about cooking and creating restaurant quality meals in both presentation and taste from her mind without prior reference. She was also an extremely gifted intellect and conversationalist which she honed with her undying love of reading and literature,

both classic and contemporary.

A memorial service honoring the life of Liz King will be held on Tuesday, March 19th , 2024, at 2 p.m. at her home, 202 East Allen St., Monticello AR.
