Gary Threadgill, 73, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and the many memories he built throughout a life well lived.

Gary was born on July 17, 1952, in California to Carl and Nadine Threadgill. He proudly served in the United States Army before spending much of his life working in construction, a trade he truly loved. Gary had a gift for building things with his hands and bringing his ideas to life, especially when those projects were for the people he loved most.

Gary was a man full of life, strong opinions, humor, and attitude. He loved deeply, even if he did not always say the words out loud. His love was often shown through hard work, teasing jokes, helping hands, and the countless things he built and fixed for those around him. He especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, giving them a hard time, making them laugh, and creating memories they will carry forever.

He is survived by his brother, Bobby (Rhonda) Threadgill; daughters, Channon Newman and Jennifer (Brian) Mathys, along with his bonus daughter, Kim Lawrence. He also leaves behind his beloved granddaughters, Kaylyn (Riley) Hughes, Madison (Jackson) Shelton, Rebecca (Pedro) Montgomery, and Gabriele (Detron) Haywood. Gary was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren: Hendrix, Huxley, Huxton, Kyler, Elizabeth, Alannah, and Bryson.

Gary was preceded in death by his significant other, Bobbie Vannoy; his parents, Carl and Nadine Threadgill; his brothers, Carl and Wayne Threadgill; and his grandson, Kevin Howell.

Gary will be remembered for his strength, his stubborn spirit, his laughter, his craftsmanship, and the fierce love he carried for his family. The things he built in this life were not only projects and homes, but also memories, traditions, and a family who loved him dearly.
