GlennaDee Asquith

February 12, 1957 — May 11, 2011

GlennaDee Johnson "Dee" Asquith, of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully at home, after a courageous year-long battle with cancer, May 11, 2011, surrounded by her husband, their three daughters and her granddog Daizee Mae. Dee was born February 12, 1957 in Lynnwood, California. She is preceded in death by her father, Edmond David Johnson, Sr. and stepbrother Tony Johnson. Dee is survived by her husband Jay Asquith, daughters Danielle Strandlien, RN, Ariel Asquith and Marlee Asquith, of the home, and son Chad Strandlien Kelly, of Upton, WY; mother MaryLou Tygart of Conroe, TX; sisters Kathy Davis and Debby McManus Don of Conroe; brother David Johnson, Jr. Debbie, of Humble, TX; grandson Aaron Strandlien and granddaughter Taylor Strandlien, of Upton, WY; special sister-in-law Carolyn Junkin of Newport, AR; too numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins and friends to list. Dee was a loving and giving wife, mother, daughter, sister and "Nana" to her beautiful grandchildren, whom she adored. She never met a stranger, and if you visited her home, she would always send you home with homemade bread, sweets, or whatever she was making that day. She was an expert seamstress, excellent homemaker and a remarkable cook and baker. "MamaDee" will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She always loved the great outdoors, and therefore there will be a celebration of her life Friday May 20, 2011 at 4:00 PM, at Pavilion 4, Murray Park, Rebsamen Park Road, Little Rock, Arkansas, with a reception to follow.
