Gracie Jane Nesbitt, 85 of Mabelvale Arkansas passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 2nd at Baptist Hospital.

Gracie is preceded in death by her parents Wil S. and Bessie Jane Davenport, Claude H. Davenport, Clarence W. Davenport, and Bennie F. Davenport, brother-in-law, O.C. Yount, son, Raymond Nesbitt, and grandson, Matthew Nolen.

Gracie is survived by her siblings, David Davenport (Nadine), Bessie Yount, sisters in law, Geneva Spann Davenport, Marie Brown Davenport, and Clidie Davenport, her daughters, Ameda Marrs of Bentonville, AR, Rebecca Sillivan (Alan) of Texarkana, AR, and her son, Allen Nesbitt (Cynthia) of Benton, AR, her grandchildren, Laura Snyder (Jeremy), Cassi Woodall (Brandon), Cory Nesbitt, Blake Nesbitt, Stormy Nolen, Ethan Langston (Amy), and great grandchildren, Jude, Levon, Annabeth, John Luke, Harper, Easton, Jada, Dax, Tripp, Talon, and Deklyn.

Gracie was a sweet soul that loved the Lord and spent many years caring for others when able.  Back in the day she loved to go to the VFW and dance.  She loved tending to her plants and adored anything that had to do with rabbits.  Her rabbit collection was vast, it’s what she loved, after all, she was born on Easter.

Even though her health recently began to fail her, she never failed to let us know how proud she was of her kids, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren and how much she loved us all.  We are at peace knowing she is no longer in pain and is with those that have gone before her.

The family wishes to express our utmost appreciation to her neighbors, Phil and Cathy, and to Dr. Benny Green and the staff at BHMC/LR for the care and compassion shown to all of us during this difficult time.

While we mourn now, there will be a time when our hearts will rejoice again.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
