With sad hearts, we announce the passing of Grady Philip Nixon of North Little Rock, AR, formerly of Wichita, KS, on February 17, 2026, at age 83.
Grady was a man of service and integrity. A distinguished veteran, he served active tours in Vietnam and Germany, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Army Reserves. After earning his Master’s from Wichita State University, he enjoyed a long career as a small business owner before retiring in the early 2010s.
A dedicated leader in the Rotary Club of North Little Rock for over 20 years, Grady is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Margret; his sons, Scott P. Nixon of Winfield, Alabama, and Grant H. Nixon of Windsor, Colorado; and his step-daughter, Jennifer M. Sorg of Wichita, Kansas. He was a proud "Opa" who loved the outdoors at Lake Afton, Greers Ferry Lake, and Petit Jean Mountain State Park.
