With sad hearts, we announce the passing of Grady Philip Nixon of North Little Rock, AR, formerly of Wichita, KS, on February 17, 2026, at age 83.

Grady was a man of service and integrity. A distinguished veteran, he served active tours in Vietnam and Germany, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the Army Reserves. After earning his Master’s from Wichita State University, he enjoyed a long career as a small business owner before retiring in the early 2010s.

A dedicated leader in the Rotary Club of North Little Rock for over 20 years, Grady is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Margret; his sons, Scott P. Nixon of Winfield, Alabama, and Grant H. Nixon of Windsor, Colorado; and his step-daughter, Jennifer M. Sorg of Wichita, Kansas. He was a proud "Opa" who loved the outdoors at Lake Afton, Greers Ferry Lake, and Petit Jean Mountain State Park.

Memorial - Thursday, March 5th @ Noon at the Lakewood POA Activity Center located at 4500 Lakeshore Drive in North Little Rock. Memorial donations may be made to the Rotary Club of North Little Rock or The Wounded Warrior Project.
