J Ronald “Ron” Burke, fondly known as "Rara,” departed life on Christmas Day, 2022. He was the son of James A and Viola C. Burke, who proceeded him in death.
Ron had a great life; and was well liked by a host of friends and family. He and his wife Kathy and his late brother Wayne and sister-in-law Stephanie enjoyed traveling to different locations, both foreign and domestic. His sister, Gloria B. Gough attended several functions and holidays with his family. He enjoyed “wing” hunting, an occasional fishing trip and spending time with his family and friends.
He served in the US Navy and was a disabled veteran. Ron served as CEO of several companies and was a member of numerous organizations, including the Rotary Club of West Little Rock, Charter Member of the Civitan in Destin FL., Fraternal Order of the Elks, Loyal Order of Moose, American Legion, and the VFW. He also possessed a private airplane license.
Ron absolutely believed his greatest accomplishment in this life was what he is leaving behind- his wife Kathryn and daughters Ashley Montgomery and Amber Hale and their husbands Drew Montgomery and Michael Hale, his loving grandchildren Autumn Temple (Brandon), Chase Smith (Dallas), Samantha Montgomery, Canon and Victoria Hale, alongside his great-grandchildren Lucah Temple and Cooper Smith whom is on the way.
Cremation Services of Arkansas provided cremation services. A burial will be held at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetary on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM. A celebration of life will follow at the North Little Rock FOP Lodge at 11:30 A.M. where a toast will be held in his honor.
