Juli Anne (Zody) Ashcraft

August 10, 1963 — July 27, 2023

White Hall, Arkansas

Juli Anne (Zody) Ashcraft was called home Thursday, July 27 th , 2023, at the age of 59.

She was born on August 10, 1963, to parents Carl and Marilyn (Tugend) Zody in Mansfield, Ohio. Juli graduated from Lucas High School in 1981.

On July 26, 1980, Juli married the love of her life, Larry Ashcraft in Lucas, Ohio. The couple went on to have one daughter and two sons, all who were the light of her life.

Juli was known as “the cake lady” to many. She worked her career in the cake/bakery business for close to 40 years, with half of those years at County Market, followed by Cranford’s for several years, and finally, Brookshires in White Hall. Juli was ALWAYS known to have a smile on her face and willing to help anyone who asked (or didn’t ask) as she had the biggest heart of gold. She left a lasting, loving impression on anyone who knew her.

Juli was an amazingly strong woman, displaying unwavering dedication and support to her family. She was truly the matriarch of the family and would do anything for her children and grandchildren. Gigi, as she was known by, not only her own grandchildren, but also to many other children, was the best grandmother anyone could ask for. She was in attendance to every baseball game, soccer game, football game, band concert, dance recital, any activity that she could possibly attend, she was there. She never wanted to miss anything that involved her children or grandbabies.

She is survived by her husband Larry Ashcraft; her children Charity (Michael) Stephens of Rison, Chris (Rachel) Ashcraft of White Hall, Eddie Ashcraft of White Hall, and her beloved dog, Brownie; her grandchildren Gabbi Johnson, Kayli Whyel, both of Rison; Brooke Ashcraft, Caleb Ashcraft, and Joseph Ashcraft, all of White Hall; her mom, Marilyn (Tugend) Zody, her sister, Reta Zody, her brother, Phil Zody, her nephew, Todd Zody, all of Lucas, Ohio.

Juli was preceded in death by her father, Carl Zody, just 6 days before her own passing.

Juli’s family will receive friends and family on Saturday, August 5, 2023, from 3:00 – 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church White Hall, with service to follow from 4:00 – 5:00 pm. There will also be a celebration of life on Sunday, August 6, 2023, at the White Hall Community Center from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, for anyone who wants to attend.
