Mick Vandiver

Mick Vandiver, born November 30, 1970, passed away on August 26, 2026. Mick will be remembered by the many people whose lives he touched with his kindness, loyalty, and open heart. He had a rare way of making those around him feel included, welcomed, and loved. When someone needed a friend, Mick showed up. The stories shared by those who loved him speak again and again to that generous spirit: he was someone people could count on, someone who made a difference simply by being there. 

Mick’s life included difficult seasons, but they do not define the whole of who he was. At his core, he was kind, deeply caring, and loved by many. He also had a special love for cats, especially Little Cat (LC), who held a treasured place in his heart. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mo (“Momma Van”) and Lamont Vandiver. Mick is survived by his sisters (Lisa, Terry, and Donna) and his brother (David), along with many friends and loved ones who will carry his memory forward. He will be missed beyond words and remembered with love.
