Larry Eagle, born on September 1, 1949, in Benton, Arkansas, passed away on October 3, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was 76 years old. Larry dedicated much of his life to a career that mirrored his father's path, spending 25 years with the International Association of Heat and Insulators and Asbestos Workers. His work took him across the country, allowing him to travel extensively—an aspect of the job he truly appreciated.
Among his favorite destinations was Hawaii, while California held less appeal for him. Closer to home, he spent a significant portion of his career at Nuclear One in Russellville, Arkansas.
Beyond his professional life, Larry found joy in simple pleasures and outdoor adventures. He cherished time spent lounging in a hammock or enjoying the natural beauty of Lake Ouachita. Camping and boating were among his favorite pastimes, offering him peace and connection with nature. A passionate pool player, Larry participated in leagues and enjoyed many games with friends over the years. He also had a fondness for horse racing.
Larry is survived by his wife, Dorothy Eagle; his son, Kenny Johnson; stepdaughter Brandy Campbell; and brothers Gary Eagle, Phil Eagle, and Steve Eagle. He also leaves behind numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews who will remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Billy Don Eagle; one brother, Harry Eagle; and stepson Jason Farnam.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to honor his memory. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
