Leo William Raith, 93, of Hot Springs passed away peacefully on Sunday May 10, 2026, at Chi St. Vincent Hospital with son and daughter by his side. He is survived by his Son David Raith and Tamara Koch (late husband Patrick). He also had two grandchildren Michael Koch and wife Chelsea and Daniel Koch and wife Summer as well as one Granddaughter Genevieve.

Leo was born April 2, 1933 to the late Michael and Freida Raith (Feldhausen). Leo was the oldest of six children. Three brothers the late Vernon Raith, Michael and the late Edwin Raith. He also had two sisters Barbara Mancillas (Husband Manuel), and Arleen Larson. As well as many cousins, nieces and nephews and countless cherished friends.

Leo was a hard worker in whatever he did. He was raised on a farm in Randolph Wisconsin. He decided to move to the city and had numerous jobs. He worked at a canning factory, later spray painting appliances, working at Oscar Myers as well as other meat processing plants.

He married his sweetheart Patricia in 1956 and were married for 64 years before she passed away. He loved his family and was dedicated to providing for them as well as spending time with them. He loved traveling, spending time outside and eating good food. One of the things Leo was known for was finding a bargain. Once he found one he would call all his friends. One of his favorite spots for vacation was South Padre Island, Texas in their later years. He always wanted family and friends to come down and enjoy being there with them.

Leo and his wife Patricia moved to Hot Springs Arkansas in 1972 to get out of the cold winters in Wisconsin. He got a job as a meat cutter. A few years later he started a mowing business and was known as the House Doctor. He loved the outdoors and working on peoples yards as well as visiting with them. His grandson Michael wanted to help, so at ten years old Leo took his grandson to work. Michael enjoyed spending time with his grandpa as well as making a little money. They worked together every summer while Michael was in school. He really enjoyed working with his Grandson. Eventually he turned his business over to him.

Leo was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses February 25, 1951 and was known for his deep love for his God Jehovah, as well as the blessings the Bible promises. He found joy and purpose in serving Jehovah and sharing his faith with others. In later years he really enjoyed the zoom service, and continued witnessing right to the end. He became close to many of his friends and even adopted a couple as his own, Bernice and Felicia Lemons. They were always there to lend a hand. He died Sunday May 10, 2026 at Chi St. Vincent Hospital. He will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held on May 23, 2026 at 1 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, located at 225 Marion Anderson Road, Hot Springs, Arkansas. The service will be officiated by Pete Krolczyk.
