Lu Anne McCoy, 90, of Little Rock, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 14, 2025. She was born in 1935 to Mary Belle and Roy Emerson Noblette of Springfield, Missouri.
She graduated in 1953 from Senior High School in Springfield where she was a majorette in the Kilties. She was a lifelong musician and played the cello in the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra.
Lu devoted her life to caring for others, serving as a nurse for over thirty years. She was deeply rooted in her faith, and a prayer warrior for many. While attending Holy Souls Church, she has made many friends of all ages. She was known for her social spirit, and cherished her many friends, prayer group, bridge group, and tennis friends. Lu was known for her precious spirit, spunk and love for people that inspired genuine love in return by countless friends.
Lu is survived by her beloved dog, Tommy, her children: Sandra Worsham Wyatt of Little Rock, Marcus Gene Worsham of Dover, and Daniel Gordon Worsham (Janie) of Dover; nine grandchildren: Christin Nailling (Nathan), Drew Northern (Jenny), Andrea Courtney (Nick), Kasia Worsham, Lucas Worsham, Brooklyn Jackson (Chuck), Whitney Limon (Gabe), Jess Worsham, and Landon Worsham (Sierra); eleven great grandchildren; two step-brothers: Jack Strong (Jan) and Tom Strong; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Traci Anne Worsham, and her husband of forty years, T. Dale McCoy.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Souls Catholic Church at 1003 N. Tyler Street, Little Rock, Arkansas on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. A Rosary will be held prior to the memorial at 1:00 p.m., and there will be a reception/visitation immediately following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored if donations were made to the American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/en/why-give) or another charity meaningful to her friends and family.
