Margie Ann Burchfield, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on December 20, 1951, she was the daughter of the late Leota Pitts and Earl Franklin Pitts left behind were siblings Kaye McNeal, Faye Houston, and Frank Pitts.
Ann was married to David Randy Burchfield. She leaves behind her children: sons Shane Portwood and Shannon Portwood, and daughter Jammi Needham. She was a proud and devoted Mamaw to Chase Portwood, Priscilla Parker, Ashlen Portwood, Courtney Needham, and Connor Portwood, and a loving great-grandmother to Braylen Wootten, Brycen Parker, and Maddox Parker.
Ann will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family, her kind spirit, and her warm heart. We will miss her stories, her laughter, and especially her joy in yard selling on the weekends—she never came home empty-handed. She was also an incredible cook who loved spending time in the kitchen, and her meals brought comfort and joy to everyone around her.
Her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved her.
