Mary Catherine (Buhrmester) Clark

Mary Catherine “Cathy” Clark, age 71, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, peacefully entered her eternal home on May 9, 2026, following a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS).

Originally from Jonesboro, Cathy brought her vibrant spirit to Hot Springs, where she spent many wonderful years. A woman of unwavering faith, she faced her illness with the same grace and strength that defined her life. She found immense joy in life’s simple treasures—spending Saturday mornings at estate sales, expressing her heart through painting, and settling in for a cozy Hallmark movie marathon.

Above all, Cathy was a devoted mother and grandmother; her family was her greatest masterpiece. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Joshua Paul of Hot Springs, and her two beloved grandsons, Ethan and Paxton, who were the absolute lights of her life.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Vera Buhrmester, and her cherished grandson, Hudson Paul.

She leaves behind a large and loving family of siblings: Bonnie Kirksey (the late Kenneth) of Jonesboro; Johnnie Hunter (Bill) of Lafe; Ginger Harris (the late Louie) of Jonesboro; Elmer Jr. (EJ) Buhrmester (the late Myra) of Jonesboro; Raymond "Fuz" Buhrmester (Mable) of Mountain View; and Cynthia Chapman (Melvin) of Hot Springs.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:30 PM on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Highland Drive Community of Christ. An additional service will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Hot Springs Community of Christ.

While she will be deeply missed by those here, we find peace knowing she is joyfully reunited with her parents and her sweet grandson, Hudson, in the presence of her Savior.
