Mary Lou Stacey

April 11, 1940 — November 30, 2025

Conway, Arkansas

Mary Lou Stacey, 85, of Greenbrier, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 30, 2025. She was born April 11, 1940, in Ava, Missouri to the late Earl and Ola (Reed) Besson.

She worked very hard her entire life, and was proud of paying off her nice home in eight years of working as a truck driver after age 65. In fact, she worked as a contract truck driver until she was 81 years old. She was always curious about others and would cultivate a relationship especially with other hard-working people. She tried to be kind-hearted, and appreciated the kindness of others, especially her neighbors in Greenbrier. She never forgot being hungry and poor and worked diligently to prevent others that experience.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Earl and Ola Besson; a brother, Jim Besson; and two husbands, Harold Beesley, and Norman Stacey. Mary Lou is survived by two daughters, Debbie Beesley, and Rhonda Edwards (Jim); a niece, Brenda Fry, and a 2 nd cousin, Valentina Joy (nee Young) Smith (Paul). She had multiple grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and wonderful friends.

Memorial service is being planned for her birthday in April but no further arrangements are known at this time.

Instead of flowers, she would desire a donation be made to a local food pantry, or an animal rescue – because she cared about people and animals and was kind to them.

She would want to personally thank her wonderful neighbors, especially Sandra and Sheila, whom she loved, as well as the kind caretakers of Hospice Homecare, and Superior Health and Rehab in Conway.
