Mattie Lavern Davidson was born in North Little Rock (McAlmont), Arkansas, to the late Charles and Emma Rosmond. A proud graduate of UAPB, she dedicated her life and career to serving others through education, spending many years teaching special needs students in the Little Rock School District. Her patience, compassion, and commitment touched countless lives and left a lasting impact on her community.

Mattie was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was rooted in love, faith, and family. She was known for her kindness, strength, wisdom, and unwavering support of those she loved. Her presence brought comfort and joy to many, and her legacy will continue through the generations she nurtured and inspired.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Derek Fuller, Tamara Davidson-Hill, PhD (Clayton), and Earnest Davidson III (Jamicia); her beloved grandchildren: Dr. Jennifer Caldwell, Sabella Hill, Jade Davidson, and Emmarie Davidson; her sister, Bonnie Rosamond; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.

Mattie’s life was a testament to service, love, and resilience. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
