Nancy Jo Bailey 66 of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on June 13, 2025, after a long illness. Nancy was born on March 4th 1959 in Ames, Iowa to Donald and Bette Bailey.
Nancy was truly the girl next door. After moving to Pittsburg, KS, she was visiting her sister Vickie and met her neighbor, Dwayne Kukovich, who after a whirlwind romance, she married on February 14th 1993. In February of 1994, Nancy and Dwayne moved around until they settled in Beaver Dam, AZ.
Nancy began working in 1996 as a change person and worked up to shift supervisor in the Slot Department at nearby Mesquite, NV in the Oasis Resort Casino Hotel. Nancy was loved by co workers and guest for her warm smile, high energy and desire for everyone to have the best experience possible. In 2007, Nancy began working in the Deli at Smith's Food and Drug in Mesquite, where she continued with the same warm smile and energy.
Once again on the road Nancy and Dwayne settled in Hot Springs, Arkansas to start a new chapter in their life.
While in Beaver Dam, Nancy was adopted by several cats to whom she took care of and gave them a good home. Nancy also enjoyed spending time in the casinos along with the many cookouts and visiting with friends around the fire pit at Kings Court RV Park and Apartments. During the holidays anyone who was alone, she made sure they had a place at the table. She truly was a very warm and compassionate person, who will be deeply missed.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Dwayne Kukovich of the home, 3 sisters, Donna Bailey of Pittsburg, KS, Patricia Savage of Ames, IA and Vickie Meyers of Pittsburg, KS, 2 stepsons, Aaron Kukovich of Carthage, MO and Kevin Kukovich of Carthage, MO, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Bette Bailey, sister Cheryl Beach and brother Steven Bailey.
Nancy will be cremated and a memorial for her will be held at a later date.
