Natalie Ann Tanner, 64, of Alexander, Arkansas, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Natalie was born on February 9, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to James Wells and Rosalee Wells.
Natalie was preceded in death by her father, James Wells (08/22/1939 – 07/05/2004); her sister, Rebecca Lynn Wyse (01/08/1965 – 06/20/2011); her niece, Taylor Rebecca Wyse (03/10/1994 – 12/14/1996); and her niece, Amber Dawn Wells (02/14/1993 – 09/09/2021).
Natalie enjoyed listening to music—especially classic rock and roll—spending time doing arts and crafts, and continually learning and sharing the gospel.
As she grew older, her world revolved around her grandchildren. From the moment each of them were born, they held her heart completely. Natalie embodied what it means to be a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She dedicated her life to those she loved—always ensuring they felt supported, cherished, and fiercely protected. She lived by a simple but powerful philosophy: put others before yourself, and treat every person with kindness and love.
Natalie gave endlessly without expecting anything in return. Her generosity, compassion, and unwavering spirit touched countless lives. She was a woman whose character set the standard—selfless, loving, gentle, steadfast in her faith, and endlessly giving. To know her was truly a blessing and a privilege. Her light brightened every room, and her presence brought comfort to all who were lucky enough to share in her life.
Her loss leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of her family and loved ones—one that time can soften but never truly fill. She was a treasure, truly one of a kind.
Natalie leaves behind her loving husband of 33 years, John Allen Webb; her two children, Tony Tanner and his fiancée Holly Herriman, and her daughter Ashley Hudson and her son-in-law Cavin Hudson; her bonus daughter, Courtney Webb; and her eight grandchildren:
Violet Allison Tanner, Mark Anthony Tanner III and
Delilah Faith Tanner (Tony's children)
Rayce Hudson, Johnny Wayne Hathcock Jr. and
Adaline Faye Hathcock (Ashley's children)
Alayna Davenport and John Paul Miller (Courtney's children)
She is also survived by her mother, Rosalee Wells; her brothers, James Wells and Randy Wells; her sisters, Sandra Rowell, Paula Wells, and Karen Pfeifer; along with 2 nieces, 8 nephews and her beloved fur baby Shelby.
The loss of Natalie is a profound one, shaking the foundation of all who loved her.
Proverbs 31: 28 - 30
Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
