Nola Jane (Janie) Chandler went to be with her Lord and Savior. Nola was born in Round Pond, Arkansas, to Daniel Webster Stain and Lillie Mae (Mathis) Stain.

Nola lived most of her life in Forrest City, Arkansas. She moved to Royal, Arkansas, in 1997. For the past three years, she resided at Encore Nursing Facility in Malvern, Arkansas.

Nola attended Crowley’s Ridge Community College, where she graduated as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She touched many lives in her career, with her love and devotion to her patients.

She was a member of Shepherds Chapel, where her faith and love of the Lord grew.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas G. Chandler, and three brothers, Darrell Stain, Donald Stain, Clovis (Ray) Stain, and one sister Floy (Flo) Hudspeth.

Her survivors include her dear sister, Barbara Stain of Heber Springs, Arkansas and baby brother Ricky Stain of Kennett, Missouri.

She is survived by her four children: Kathy Armstrong of Royal, Arkansas, Hope Speakar of Malvern , Arkansas. She was a devoted daughter to her care every day. Her son James (Andy) Clark of Malvern, Arkansas, and Amy Kay Lewis of Malvern, Arkansas. She’s had numerous nieces and nephews. A beloved niece, Kellie Hamilton of Herber Springs, Arkansas.

She received the title “Mammaw,” which became her name by all the grandchildren, after Aaron Armstrong of Wynne, Arkansas arrived. Then, Thomas (TJ) Ford of Bismarck, Arkansas, Jay Hill of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Chandler Hill of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Anthony Clark of Batesville, Arkansas, and one granddaughter Ashley Elizabeth Clark of Phoenix, Arizona.

She has numerous great grandchildren. A special, little one named Maddie Mae Hill, who visited her often and brightened her days.

Our mother enjoyed gardening, sitting on her porch watching the hummingbirds. She enjoyed reading, boating, traveling and spending time with family. She lived life on her terms. She left us with lots of memories, love and laughter.

A graveside Service will be held at Forrest Park Cemetery on September 4th, 2026, at 10:00am in Forrest City, Arkansas.
