Norma Brumfield Newton,78, passed away peacefully March 6, 2024. Norma was born in Hope, Arkansas on October 3, 1945 to parents Louis and Aileen Brumfield. She spent her childhood growing up in Texas as a member of Hardy Memorial Methodist Church in Texarkana, Texas. 

After graduating High School in Fort Worth, Norma spent the next four years serving her country as a nurse in the United
States Military. Norma met and married her husband Sam of fifity six years while they both were serving their country. 
Her passion for helping veterans continued with her twenty five year career as a Physician Assistant in Neurosurgery at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. After retiring from the V.A., Norma spent many years working for the Red Cross in Little Rock. 

Norma was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Aileen Brumfield and nephew Mark. She is survived by her husband, 
Sam Newton, daughter Samantha Newton, grandson Logan Newton, her sister Judy Fort, two nieces and a nephew as well as many friends she considered family. 

At her request, there will be no funeral. 

In lieu of flowers/plants/food, please make a donation in her memory to your local animal shelter or humane society.
