Ralph Eugene Richardson was born May 31, 1947 and passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 26, 2021. He grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. Attended Hall High School. He joined the United States Air Force in November 1965. While serving he spent time in the United Kingdom, France, and Germany. He was honorably discharged from USAF service after six years. He then served in the United States Federal Protection Service (FPS) on the Special Operations Response Team for eight years and was decorated twice.
During his service with the FPS, he was made a Special Deputy Marshal for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Ralph also served on the Cuban/Haitian Task Force Team from 1969-1976. After serving with the Federal Protection Service, he worked as a deputy at the Garland County Sheriff Department in Hot Springs, Arkansas. His last job was with HARP Security.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Josephine and Daniel “Dan” Richardson. His brothers Robert “Bob” Richardson of Hot Springs, Marion Richardson, and Ronald Richardson of California. He is survived by his two daughters: Laura Sturgeon (Jay) of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Amanda Richardson of Topeka, Kansas. He is also survived by one sister, Barbara Thomas of Bossier City, Louisiana. Seven grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
His family remembers him as a talented singer and musician, and artist. He enjoyed building and collecting model cars and airplanes and loved to build elaborate train sets.
