Randall “Ran” Peck, 80, of Bryant, Arkansas passed away peacefully on January 8, 2026. Born on February 17, 1945 in Canton, Ohio, he was a loving father to Juliet Moore, Amy Peck, and Lauren Peck.

Randall briefly attended Case Western University, studying engineering before being drafted into the United States Army, where he served at the Pentagon. He later completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.

Randall spent more than 15 years working in customer service at Walmart, where he was known for his upbeat attitude and great work ethic. He is celebrated by his family as a kind-hearted father who found solace in humor and Dad jokes, which, according to his children, weren't necessarily the same thing. He loved discovering new books and movies at the local library and often spent weekends camping on his sailboat at Lake DeGray. He also owned and maintained many 1980s Volvo station wagons over the years. Much to his daughters’ relief, he eventually purchased a newer car.

Randall is survived by his daughters Juliet Moore, Amy Peck, and Lauren Peck; his sons-in-law David Moore and Justin McElfresh; his grandchildren Ryan and Carleigh Moore; and many extended family members who will surely miss him.

To honor Randall’s memory, his daughters suggest supporting one of his favorite places: the Saline County Library. Their father found libraries to be a bright light in his life and in the community. Donations can be made to the Friends of the Library. Volunteering, participating in initiatives, and signing up for a library card are also ways to show support:salinecountylibrary.org.
