Ronald Lee Waymack

A Once in a Lifetime Man, Ronald Lee Waymack (AKA Captain Ron), age 67 of Crystal Springs, Arkansas went to be
with the Lord on Tuesday February 21,2023.

Captain Ron’s love of fishing began as a young child, but in the late 90’s he made his shift from “Green Fish” to Stripers, he was 2004 NSBA Region 3 Champion and 2007 SBCC National Champion. Captain Ron was a retired striper guide, known for catching huge stripers, putting a smile on your face and giving you memories for a lifetime. He gave the best nicknames, and
stories to keep you entertained for hours. Never a dull moment with the Captain, his number one rule ‘Just Have Fun’.
A good friend of his said. “Ron had attitude, guts, ambition and motivation to step out on a limb to live his passion, he was a
rare breed of man that followed his own path having little use for the one society prescribed”.

Born August 30, 1955 in Illinois, Ronnie grew up in the outskirts of Pine Bluff. Son of Fred Waymack Jr and Ruby Carnell Carey
Waymack. Preceded in death by his former wife Brenda Kay Fisher Waymack; and his parents. Survivors include his younger sister Leslie Anne Waymack of Hot Springs AR. Two daughters Cassie Bryant of Conway, AR and Adrienne Nicole Catlett of Royal, AR; Son, Phil Jaynes of Yucaipa CA. Four grandchildren Zoe Kaye Bryant (Conway AR), Hyzlan Rogue Catlett and Roczen Haze Catlett (Royal AR), Abigail Lynn Jaynes (Yucaipa CA), and his beloved side kick Roni.

Captain Ron Waymack, a true striper fishing legend. Gone but NEVER forgotten.

A summer funeral service and fish fry on Lake Ouachita seemed appropriate: Time and Place TBA...
