Little Rock, Arkansas

Shawn Watkins, born on February 9, 1964, in South Bend, Indiana, passed away on August 5, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was 61 years old.

Shawn was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Marsha Watkins; his four children—Maria Vargas, Judith Langford, Lesli Watkins Harvey, and Star Watkins; and his cherished grandchildren—Leah, Kedron, Krystol, Felicity, Kadah, Beckett, Madeline, Taeveon, and Ada Mae. He also leaves behind his brother John Goheen, nephews John and Stephen and niece Kayleigh. In addition to his immediate family, Shawn’s life touched the hearts of numerous extended family members who will continue to carry his memory forward.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lamar Lee and Joyce; his sister Theresa Marie; as well as his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.

Shawn had a remarkable talent for working with his hands. Whether it was masonry, tile work, or woodworking, he approached every project with skill and creativity. His craftsmanship transformed ordinary materials into lasting works of art—a reflection of the care and pride he took in everything he did.

Beyond his talents and skills, Shawn will be remembered most for the love he gave so freely. A loving husband and father who was adored by his grandchildren and deeply respected by all who knew him. His kindness knew no bounds—he would give the shirt off his back to someone in need without hesitation.

May Shawn’s memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting reminder of generosity, love, and quiet strength.
