Sheridan Ann (Hart) Arnold

Sheridan Ann Arnold, age 80, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Sheridan, formerly of Kentucky, was born to the late Lillian and Durrett Hart. Affectionately referred to as “Nana,” she was a God-fearing woman who spent her life as a homemaker, centering her days on raising her family and later playing an active role in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She adored her family, the outdoors, birdwatching, and enjoying a cup of coffee with a lemon donut from Shipley’s Donuts.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Frank Arnold; her sisters, Esther Jean and Lavern; and her parents.

She is survived by her four children—Robert Arnold; Lora Arnold-Douglass; Christina Magness; and Scott Magness—son-in-law Wayne Douglass Jr.; daughter-in-law Kim Short Arnold; grandchildren Lindsey Leopard, Candice Arnold, Jasmine Arnold, Leigh Douglass, Hayden Arnold, Dalton Arnold, and Henry Pinkerton; and great-grandchildren Oakley, Nicholas, Benjamin, and Nathan.

Sheridan chose non-ceremonial cremation.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the National Kidney Foundation.
