Starlene "STAR’ Kaeppel, 61, went to her Savior June 22nd, in Little Rock, Arkansas with her loving family at her bedside. Star was born October 26, 1951 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to Jeannette Russell & Nellis Davis. In 1969 she married her lifetime love, Christopher "Chris" Kaeppel, at church in Mt. Airy, Maryland. She is survived by her children: Christine, Daniel, Rebecca, Andrew, seven grandchildren and her lifetime love, best friend & husband Chris. Our family moved to Sierra Vista, Arizona in 1979. Star loved life & had such a zest for it; laughing, loving and supporting her children and husband in all of their hopes and activities. She enjoyed sports, especially baseball, and played competitive softball in Sierra Vista & Tucson for many years. ln 1985 she was a founding member of Little League Baseball in Sierra Vista. She served in many capacities as a board member, coach, equipment manager, etc… until moving to Tombstone in 1993 to manage The Best Western Lookout Lodge. Star was a long time Sales Associate at Wal-Mart, having transferred to Conway, Store #005, in 2003. After moving to Conway, her newest activity became horses and rodeo. $he supported and encouraged her granddaughter, Stephanie Rose. Together, they traveled all over Arkansas with High School Rodeo competition as well as Rodeo Queen Competition in several adjoining states. Star was a very active board member of the Faulkner County Saddle Club for several years until her fight with cancer forced her to take a leave of absence from her Club duties and work. Although our address changed over the years, our family’s home never did. lt always remained constant, warm, clean & orderly, filled with love for one another. Star’s legacy, her family, will miss her forever, until we all are together once again, at our home…With our Father... in Heaven.
