Sylvia Ann Sherrill Mourier, a beloved daughter, sister, wife, and friend, departed this world peacefully on May 28, 2025, at the age of 68. Born in Crossville, Tennessee, Sylvia grew up in a close-knit family with her brother Gil and sister Marilyn. Her childhood in the rolling hills of Tennessee was filled with warmth and love, fostering the compassion and kindness that would define her life.
Sylvia's life was one of love, laughter, and connection. She had a unique gift for spreading joy wherever she went, and her vibrant personality left an indelible impression on everyone she met. She had a deep affection for animals, particularly her cherished dogs and cat, who brought her endless companionship and happiness. However, her greatest joy came from the people she encountered during her journey—friends, family, and colleagues alike, all of whom were touched by her radiant spirit.
Sylvia's professional life saw her final employment with a company in Little Rock, Arkansas, where she ultimately resided. She embraced her work with dedication and grace, forming lasting friendships and making a difference in her community. Sylvia is survived by her devoted husband, Mark, who shared her life and love. She also leaves behind her siblings, Gil and Marilyn, her brothers-in-law David, and her three beloved nieces Michelle, Cheryl, and Nicole, along with their husbands Jon, Jeremy, and Josh. Her legacy extends to her two adored great-nieces, Amber and Jasmine, who brought her immense pride and joy.
Sylvia will forever be remembered as a beacon of light by all who knew her. To her friends and family, she was a truly special person whose memory will remain etched in our minds and hearts. Her gentle nature, her infectious smile, and her boundless love will continue to inspire those who grieve her loss.
Sylvia's final resting place is the Columbarium at Mount Holly Cemetery in Little Rock, Arkansas—a place she cherished and often visited. May she find eternal peace in the beauty and serenity of her chosen resting place.
Rest in peace, dear Sylvia. You will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered always.
