Tavia Ann Cox-Broughton left this earth on May 18, 2025 at the age of 55 years old. Tavia was born on December 8, 1969 in Harrison, Arkansas to Patricia (Joann) and Melvin E. Smith.
Tavia graduated with honors from Arkadelphia High School. Tavia went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Henderson State University. Following college, Tavia worked for Arkansas Best Insurance of Hot Springs for 15 years.
She was pre-deceased by her parents and her grandparents Roy Ralph and Milla Celesta Kelley, two aunts, Betty Kelley Hile and Jackie Kelley Stonecipher and three uncles Ron Gregory, Doyle Ferguson and Bill Stonecipher.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Brayden Cox, two grandsons, Easton and Baylor Cox, her soulmate, Trent Broughton, her sister, Danielle C Wenneberg (Ross) of Prescott, AR., her Mother in-law, Nina Broughton, her best friend Teresa West and countless uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff that cared for Tavia during her stays at National Park Medical Center, CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, and Cornerstone Hospital in Little Rock.
A memorial service will be held in her memory on July 12, 2025 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at the lower lake pavilion of Lake Degray/Caddo River area located off of Highway 7 South.
