Thomas Burns

Thomas Shannon Burns, age 69, of Little Rock died Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Shannon attended the University of Georgia and Ohio State University where he earned his doctorate in English Literature. After teaching at the university level for many years, Shannon retired from the State of Arkansas Department of Human Services after a lengthy career. Shannon is survived by his wife Sandra Burns; daughter Amy Garr of Plano, Texas; son Eric Frazier of San Francisco, California; granddaughter Lezlie Garr of Cincinnati, Ohio; and granddaughter Zoe Frazier Lynch of St. Louis, Missouri. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 8th at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 12415 Cantrell Road, Little Rock, AR 72203. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
