Vicki Ann (Love) Stigall of Little Rock, AR entered into eternal rest on August 13, 2025. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hammond (Jeremy); four grandchildren: Kaylee, Claire, Hope, and Cecelia, and two sisters: Kay (Love) Morris and Shirley (Love) Overton.
Vicki was born March 22, 1948 to Sarah (Shirley) Love and Kelly Love. Vicki was a strong and resourceful woman, successful at whatever she put her mind to. She did not have an easy life, but persevered nonetheless as someone very devoted to those dear to her heart. She was a strong presence in the life of her granddaughters, whether it was getting them to an early morning volleyball practice or hosting a sleepover in their younger days.
Vicki was a dedicated, dutiful person upon whom many people and organizations could depend. She had a successful career in insurance accounting and then as a claims adjuster. Vicki was sharp as tack, and kept her cognitive abilities throughout her final days, something we know she would be proud of. We can also lovingly say that she never lost her sass.
She loved to travel, and was not afraid to venture out on her own, once embarking on a three-week road trip out west, teenage daughter in tow and no specific destination in mind. These are some of our fondest memories. She instilled in our family a deep love of Arkansas state parks, especially Devil's Den.
She loved elephants, daffodils, and spending time with loved ones. As lovingly remembered by her granddaughter, Claire: "She was the definition of ride-or-die. It didn’t matter if I asked her to go to Sonic in the middle of a thunderstorm at 11 p.m., or if me and my sisters wanted her to drive us around the neighborhood with our heads sticking out of the sunroof of her Honda Accord — she was all in, even if she gave us a little flack for it first. She loved making her family happy, especially me and my sisters — “her girls,” as she always called us."
Vicki was someone who cared for those she knew, even when time and distance came between them. Many who knew her probably remember her fondly for this. One of "her girls" (her grandkids) aptly recalled, "She made friends everywhere she went and cared deeply about people — even long after they weren’t really in our lives anymore. She used to say she could make friends with a fence post — and she honestly could."
Vicki hated goodbyes, maybe more than anyone we have ever known. We find peace and assurance in our belief that this is not goodbye -- She lives on in so many ways through us and in other ways, big and small. We know that her spirit is at rest, and she is free of the pain of her physical body.
Vicki's funeral will be on Saturday, September 6th at 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church (5124 Hillcrest Ave. in Little Rock).
