William Daniel Church

William Daniel Church was born in Wilkesboro North Carolina on April 9, 1952 to Gwyn Robert Joines and Grace Elizabeth Martin Joines. He was welcomed home to be with the Lord on November 26, 2023.

Dan was how people knew him, he enjoyed selling watermelons in the summer, he was a Marine who is very proud of his country, He worked as a steelworker for many years until he retired. He enjoyed spending time with friends drinking coffee and fishing, watching the news, politics, and true crime stories, watching NASCAR, football, baseball and any other sport. and lounging in his pajamas (Hugh Hefner) and loving on his cats.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Catherine Brookshire and Rebecca Dougherty and a brother David Church. He is survived by his sister Brenda Binder and brother Chris Joines. He also leaves behind his life partner, Karen Jeffcoat of almost 25 years two children that he called his own John Hill and Rosanna Staton (Tony) and three grandchildren he called his own Jace Hill, Derek Mayfield, Zeb Burns. He was an alderman for the city of Alexander for a few terms and he loved every minute of it. He will be greatly missed by so many and forever loved. He had a great personality and was not afraid to say exactly what he thought. He will never be forgotten and forever in our hearts.
