Barbara "Barbie" Bellmon-Brooks

Barbara “Barbie” Bellmon-Brooks, age 72, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 4, 2022. Barbara was born October 17, 1949 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Otis and Rosa Mae Bellmon. She was married for 14 years to Maceo Brooks, of Little Rock, AR. Barbara graduated from Horace Mann High School in 1967.

Barbara enjoyed good home-cooked food, special coffee, watching old movies and spending time with friends and family. She had special affection for kids. Barbara’s primary focus of life was the Christian ministry. She worked as much as she could to reach others with the Bible’s message of hope.

She is survived by her husband, Maceo Brooks of Little Rock, Arkansas; Sister Dorothy Thomas of Little Rock; Daughter, Glynis Love of Conyers, Georgia.; 6 grandchildren; Michael Lacefield of Nashville, Tennessee; Nicole Watkins, DeShawnna Barmore both of Conyers, Georgia; James (Nevena) Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina; Brittney Williams and Laurel Tompkins both of Detroit, Michigan; and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Anderson, of Detroit, Michigan and her parents Otis and Rosa Mae Bellmon of Little Rock, Arkansas.

A memorial service will be held between 1pm-2pm on Saturday, June 18, 2022 using ZOOM online meetings. For information on how to connect to the ZOOM online meeting, text the request to 501-912-0412.
