Peggy Collins

September 23, 1941 — January 2, 2022

Peggy Collins, 80, of Little Rock, passed away January 2, 2022, at her home.  She was born September 23, 1941, to the late Van and Della Loftis Jones in Bee Branch.  She is also preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, James Collins; and two brothers, Vernon Jones and Jimmy Jones.

Peggy loved to read books and enjoyed the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, especially the crossword puzzles and the QuiptoQuotes.  She was the best cook ever, although she claimed to dislike cooking!

Peggy is survived by her children: Tena Mullinax of Little Rock, William Mathews of Rogers, and James Gill, Jr of Little Rock; grandchildren: Joshua Hancock and wife Stacia of Bethel Heights, and Patrick Hancock and wife Carmen of Rogers; great-grandchildren: Ty, Alex, Allie, Addison, Abigail, Austin, Gavin, Ashton, and Ashlynn; and siblings: Tommy Jones of Big Springs, TX, Sue Barnett and husband Ray of Cassel, CA, and Patsy Harrison of Benton.

During her journey of life, her inner light touched more people, young and old, than can be mentioned by name in an obituary, but she loved each and everyone. So, her family is far greater in numbers than the listed names above.

Memorial donations may be made to Salvation Army of Central Arkansas, 111 West Markham, Little Rock AR 72201.

A Memorial Service will not be held due to Covid-19, at her request, however, there will be a celebration of her Life Well Lived, at a later date.

Cremation Arrangements Entrusted to Arkansas Cremation. www.ArkansasCremation.com.
