Sherron Ann Shroyer, 72, passed away on March 5, 2022. Sherron was born on June 18, 1949 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents Bobby and Connie Elkins, brother Nick Elkins, and husband Stephen Shroyer.

She is survived by her children, Justin (Teresa) Kilpatrick, Jennifer Kilpatrick, Jessica (Bill) Godfrey, Carol (Daniel) Wooten, Stephanie (Wayne) Cowan, and Matt (Tonya) Shroyer; grandchildren, Magan Warnock, Zachary Cowan, Bob Kilpatrick, Ian Wooten, Seth Wooten, Jack Kilpatrick, Will Godfrey, Kyle Shroyer, and Cammy Shroyer; great-grandchildren, Aden Pittman and Nolan Warnock; sisters, Elizabeth Tomboulian and Cynda Bellamy; aunt, Lauralyn Buie; nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends.

Sherron was a joy to all who met her, inspiring them to live to the fullest and to love fiercely. She was a woman of immutable faith, with an especially strong devotion to the Rosary. She loved her three kids beyond measure. One of her favorite ways to spend a weekend with them was to get lost on country roads and spend the rest of the day finding the way back home. She loved nothing more than cooking and baking for house full of friends and family, making cookies with her grandkids, and her “Granny Breakfasts” were a favorite. She was avid gardener, sharing her seeds and knowledge with friends and neighbors. She had a lifelong love of sewing, knitting, needle arts, crafts, and tested patterns for Leisure Arts magazines and books. She traveled to Honduras with the Christ the King Catholic Church Mission to teach sewing and discovered a passion for creating patterns and teaching women how to sew. She continued this in her remaining years working with the Christ the King Sewing Mission in Little Rock. During the Covid pandemic she personally sewed hundreds of masks, just one example of her life of service to others. She loved to laugh, dance, and buy musical instruments that she wouldn’t learn how to play. She never saw a sewing pattern or pair of shoes she didn’t want to buy. She will be greatly missed, and her legacy of love and faith will live on in all of those who knew her.

Funeral services will be at Our Lady of the Holy Souls Catholic Church. A Rosary will be held Wednesday, March 16 at 6:30 p.m. with visitation to follow. A funeral Mass will be Thursday, March 17 at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CTK Sewing Mission, Christ the King Catholic Church, 4000 N. Rodney Parham Rd., Little Rock, AR 72212. Please put “Shroyer Sewing Fund” in the memo of the check.
