William Webster

January 21, 1977 — November 9, 2022

Tool, Texas

William ‘Robert’ Webster, of Tool, Texas and Monticello, Arkansas, joined his parents on November 9th, 2022. He was born January 21, 1977 and adopted by William Bruce and Francis Webster. He leaves behind his son, Jacob Webster, his sister, Suzy Moreno, nephew, Anthony, as well as his brothers, Mike Hatcher and Dallas Gibson. Robert had many, many friends. Robert was just beginning a new life with his devoted girlfriend, Teddi Moon. Robert is the great love of her life, and she was his.

Robert loved his son, his legacy. He was so proud of the man Jacob is now and is becoming. He so looked forward to watching him mature and grow a family of his own.

Roberts first love was radio when he was gifted a Magic Radio at the age of 7 and he was hooked. The entire field of amateur radio fascinated him. He has many friends that are operators. The radio community will miss him. Another group of people that he left a mark on is the Zello community. He spoke with people all over the states, even the world, every day. He was very smart and articulate. He loved to converse on many different topics. He could argue his points passionately, but never belittled anyone. He became very dear to many people on the Zello channels. Robert and Teddi were blessed to meet some of their good Zello friends in person this past summer.

Robert was a very, very special person. When he loved you, you were his. You became family. He would drop whatever he was doing to render aid when needed, even if it meant driving a couple hours. Robert became a volunteer fireman, led by Jacob in 2017. He truly was a hero.

Robert was very talented and ran a successful telecommunications business. He also worked off-shore on decommissioned oil rigs. He loved the ocean.

And he did all kinds of work in and around the community of Tool. If someone told him he could not do something, he found a way! He was humble and loved people. And he loved dogs. His pups are missing him!

One of the most endearing things about him was his absolute joy in the little things - a beautiful building, the wind in the pines, ripples on the water. He never took those gifts for granted like many of us do. He really would stop to smell the roses, or take a picture of a stained-glass window, as he and Teddi did on their first trip to Arkansas.

He was kind, but he could be tough, too. Not in a cruel way. He believed correcting detrimental behavior, thoughts or actions, was an act of love. He cared enough to say the hard things. And he expected those around him to do the same for him.

This world is significantly dimmer without him in it. He made it a better place. He made those around him better. He will be greatly missed.

Memorial service will be 2:00 PM, January 7, 2023, at First united Methodist Church - Dallas , 1928 Ross Ave, Dallas, TX 75201.
